Premier Inn New Hotels

The Premier Inn recently sent me a email about their new and recently built hotels that have been added to their portfolio.  Their email caught my attentiion and I went to have a look at the hotels they had listed.  All the websites use the same template and generic information apart from the individual hotel name, contact details, and several photograpghs.
As usual accessibility information is vague and what information I found I had to search for.  This was taken from their websites link "Bathrooms provide adequate turning space for a standard wheelchair.  Majority of bathrooms are fitted with shallow baths with bath rim at the same height as a majority of wheelchair seats and grab rails around the bath these aid transfer from a wheelchair to bath.  Wetroom facilities are also available in some accessible bedrooms in our newer and recently refurbished hotels."
Accessible guestroom?
I also found a "Future Plans" statement which I was extremely pleased to read and hope that other hotels follow their example. The statement was "In our new build hotels and extensions 50% of accessible bedrooms will incorporate a wet room, with the other 50% having shallow accessible baths.  This will offer greater flexibility for our guests and will be in accordance  with best practice recommended in the relevant British Standard".  This is what they are referring to Building Regulations (2004, updated 2010 & 2013) Facilities In Buildings Other Than Dwellings Part M1:
4.19- states unless there are compelling reasons for not doing so, there should be at least as many en-suite shower rooms as en-suite bathrooms.
I do have problems with their websites, there is lack of information for both abled and disabled guests.
  • As a disabled guest I would like to have more information about a hotels accessibility.
  • Parking provision for guests who are blue badge holders.
  • Websites only have a handful of photographs.
  •  I have to yet find an email for any queries I may have.
Something to bear in mind is that if you book an accessible guestroom online I would suggest that you contact the hotel straight away to reserve the correct accessible guestroom (bathtub or wetroom).  This is important as otherwise the hotel may just allocate a room.
I do have questions and suggestions that I would like to talk to the Premier Inn about but I can't see that happening because there is no way to contact them unless someone knows different,
